NZFGC Safe In Store Pass (SISP) 2024 upgrade
We’re excited to announce that the New Zealand Food and Grocery Council Safe In Store Pass (SISP) program will be moving to a new and improved platform, launching in February 2025!
This upgrade introduces several enhancements to streamline the process and improve your experience. The key changes are detailed below.
What will change for site managers
-
The SISP can now be purchased through our new modern shopping cart.
Key improvements:- Ability to purchase multiple types of passes in one transaction
- Instant delivery of purchased course tokens (used to be called access keys) on screen and emailed.
-
In the old system there was a delay between purchasing course Access Keys and receiving the keys.
In the new system the courses are accessed through course tokens. These tokens are automatically delivered as soon as you purchase. You will receive an email as well as see the tokens on screen. The email contains a sample email for how you can share course tokens with your staff.
***SAMPLE STAFF INVITE TO ***
Dear [Staff Name],You have been provided with access to the online FGC Safe In Store Pass course. This is a fully online course which you do on your computer connected to the internet.
Successfully completing the course and assessment will enable you to safely enter and work in any of the Foodstuffs (Auckland, Wellington, South Island Ltd.) and Countdown New Zealand Stores. Additional stores will be added over time.To activate your account simply go to [Copy a token Link from above].
You will be asked to enter your details (including uploading a photo) and then complete the course.
Once you've completed the course you'll be able to download and print your safe in store pass. You no longer need a physical pass to enter a store, simply save the certificate to your phone and show it to the store if requested.
If you have any questions or need any assistance then please contact us.
Kind Regards,
The Intuto 'Safe In Store' Team
In association with
The New Zealand Food and Grocery CouncilYou can also download the codes and manage them in your own system.
Unfortunately at this stage there is nowhere to login to view used codes, but we are always here to help if you have any questions or if you need help sharing the tokens with your staff. -
One of the most significant updates in the new system is the removal of the mandatory physical card requirement for store entry.
Instead staff can either:- Download & print a PDF version of their pass
- Download their pass to their phone
- Save their pass to the home screen of their pass
-
While we’re confident that the new system will greatly enhance usability for both managers and staff, we understand that change can sometimes be disruptive. Rest assured, our team is here to support you—please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

After months of consultation with NZ health & safety experts, supermarkets, and supply companies the SISP course has been updated. The updated version has been independently reviewed and covers everything you need to know to stay safe when working in supermarkets in New Zealand.
-
We understand that times are challenging for many individuals and businesses, so we are committed to keeping the SISP affordable. Despite rising costs, we’re pleased to confirm that the price of the SISP will remain unchanged in 2025.

As we move to the new system we will be in touch with new tokens to replace any existing access keys you may have.

The token you receive is used to help you create an account and access the Safe In Store Pass. Unlike the old system, if you click the token link again (after registering) it will still log you in.

All courses in the old system need to be completed by Feb 9th. If you miss this deadline you can contact help@intuto.com and we will enrol you into the new system free of charge, but you will need to start the course from scratch.
-
Unfortunately you will not be able to transfer your old SISP number when renewing in the new system. You will get a new number which can then be used going forward for all renewals.
